PAST GLORIES

Just this morning the Spirit of God was talking to me about "PAST GLORIES". And i felt led to share a thought from it. Past glories as wonderful as they appear to be could be very deceptive, most especially when you dwell on them for so long. Its true that you once moved mountains, casted out devils, seen signs and wonders. Its a good testimony , but don't dwell in the past for so long, because it can distort the proper view of the future, and create a form comfortability in stagnancy. As far as our walk and dealings with God is concerned, There is always more that He wants to do and achieve both through you and in you. Don't be tied down by past glories, its time to press for more, its time to build weight in the Glory. Peter(at the mount of transfiguration) said, its good for us to be here, let us make three tabernacles, one for you(referring to Jesus), one for Moses and one for Elijah, in other words, let us remain at this level of glory, he never knew that one day his own shadow will heal the sick. If God had answered that prayer, i wonder if there would have been the Acts of the apostles. I believe this message is meant to help two sets of people; those who at one point in time in their lives have tasted God, in terms of his presence, power and might, but at this point in their lives, they are being overwhelmed by a cloud of emptiness, as though they've never met God before. For these group of persons, its a wake-up call. I understand how you feel, cos I've been there before. The kingdom is in dire need of you, the kingdom awaits your return. Shake off the dust and get back on your feet. God's warm embrace awaits you. Throw away the regrets, self pity and self condemnation which is due to your reflections on your past glories. Stop wishing and feasting on those past glories, put yourself together and start advancing towards greater glories. You can't allow your past to hunt you. Wake up and press your way through to God's presence. He has not given up on you. Do your self a favor, roll that stone away, for out of it will come the beauty of life, although you may appear spiritually dead as Lazarus. But today i need you to hear God's voice, commanding you to "COME FORTH". Secondly, those who at this point are comfortable with the moves and dimensions of God they are currently experiencing and as a result, they see no need or reason to anticipate for more. To these group of persons, its a challenge to step up and press for more. The demand of heaven is that you come to that point as an army of the kingdom, where you'll stop "stumbling" into the will of God, but attain a level of conformity such that you can articulate God's will and still go ahead in implementing it without your senses getting on your way as a form of hindrance. Listen to me friend, your life must produce results. Listen keenly and you'll hear a demand from God, a demand to enforce those that will bring order to the earth and that demand is "COMMAND YE ME". THIS IS NOT THE BEST OF YOU YET, YOU CAN DO BETTER, AND BE BETTER, THAN THE PICTURE YOU HAVE AT HAND. Let God's armies and generals arise. There is still hope....yea, there is still hope for you, yes YOU....

A Prayer For Remaining Faithful In Our Impact

Father, we thank you for the diligence and passion of faithful missionaries, pastors, evangelists, song writers and others who are in the trenches of impacting lives destroyed by the devil's vices. Sometimes we feel our impact on others is so insignificant in comparison to the Billy Grahams but you've called us to make a difference in our circle of influence where You strategically placed us. We're reminded by Scripture today that You will be the One who evaluates our effectiveness. It is not the visible fruit of our labors that determines the validity of our calling, but it is obedience to Your Word that helps us to continue in the work You've called us to do. Help us to be faithful!

A Prayer Of Thanks For Amazing Grace

Father, Your abundant grace is poured out on humankind like showers of blessings, both for believer and unbeliever alike. Yet it is only as we appropriate Your saving grace that we turn away from evil and walk in the ways of righteousness. Many leaders and rulers have come and gone, but You, Father, are the eternal One whose kingdom knows no end. We humble ourselves in the light of Your majesty as we bring honor to Your holy name and live as a people who are eager to do what is good. Amen.
